It’s the boot you’ve been waiting for. Introducing the Outlander, our first true all-season boot with a water-resistant upper featuring some serious tread that can handle the mud just as well as the snow. The sticky rubber outsole utilizes 4mm deep lugs and zig-zag grooves to provide ample traction as you climb to new heights and scale slippery situations. You know that feeling of wanting to ditch your hiking boots the second you reach the car after a long hike? Not so with the Outlander, thanks to the wide toe box that allows your toes to splay all day!

Sizing Advice:

Ready to check out our newest boot? After much refinement, we find that the Outlander may just have the best fit yet! So how does it compare to your other beloved Lems? If you have the Primal 2 and find that they fit just right, then we suggest you stick with that same size. If you find that the Primal 2 is a little too roomy for your comfort, order a half size down. If you are a Boulder Boot fan, we find that the Outlander fits a little longer than the Casual Soles styles. If you have any questions, feel free to contact our customer service at info@footworksrunning.co.uk.

*STANDARD NATURAL SHAPE: Moderate toe splay with a medium-wide fit.

OUR MOST VERSATILE HIKING BOOT IS FINALLY HERE

The new Outlanders with their water-resistant uppers and 4mm deep lugs will give you incredible traction, whether you’re snowshoeing through mountain powder or trudging through mucky slush in town. Live somewhere very wet (we’re looking at you PNW)? The gusseted tongue keeps the tongue completely attached to the boot, preventing moisture and debris from coming inside the shoe. We also took the same breathable, water-resistant liner from the Water-resistant Boulder Boot to help in keeping water out so your feet stay dry for longer and warm.

A spacious toe box coupled with a zero-drop platform will have your feet dancing on the trail, because these natural foot-shaped hiking boots allow you to move in proper alignment, just as nature intended.

Now, for the toughest decision of all: Which colorway will you choose? Evergreen, Blue Steel, or Iceberg?  To bad only evergreen is available for now and the other 2 colours will be added over the next few months!  All three are beauties designed with inspiration from Mother Nature herself.

    WATER-RESISTANT

With its water-resistant membrane and gusseted tongue, the Outlander will keep your feet dry for longer and warm, especially after a day on the slopes or slogging through slush on your way to the bar!

FULL RUBBER OUTSOLE WITH ZIG-ZAG SIPING

This brand new, sticky rubber outsole incorporates 4mm deep lugs for incredible traction on snow, mud, and everywhere in-between! The built in zig-zag grooves (siping) provide additional biting edges to cut into ice/snow and helps ground your feet in slippery situations.

    WIDE TOE BOX

Unlike traditional footwear that squeeze the toes together, our foot-shaped toe box allows for maximum room giving the toes ultimate freedom to wiggle and spread.

     Minimal drop

Places the forefoot and heel flat to the ground correcting posture, aligning your spine, and encouraging mid-foot strike.

    GUSSETED TONGUE

Whether you prefer your laces loose, or tied up tight, thanks to the gusseted tongue you’ll always be protected from the elements.

    Amazing boots and Customer Service

These boots are very comfortable for anyone in the market for a barefoot style, all season boot.

Great customer service helping me find the correct size. Would recommend going up a half size to allow room for thick socks.

Return policy and service was also fantastic again. Couldn't recommend the boots and retailer enough!

    Best boot ever :)

These are the most comfortable boots I have ever owned. They do not need to be worn in and they flex perfectly with my feet. I am so pleased with them, I recommend them to anyone who will listen 🖤

    So comfortable

These boots are so, son much more comfortable than the Boulder boot in Weathered Umber which I returned - and I bought a half size larger than my usual so there is plenty of room for a thicker sock. Highly recommended.

Great boots from Lems - just what I've been waiting for

Really pleased with these boots. IMO they're nicer in-person than in the pictures online. I have a few pairs of Lems now: Primal 2, Chillum, Chukka, and now these Outlanders too. These Outlander's aren't cheap, but from first impressions these are a step up in construction and build quality compared to the others.

    Sizing:
I have the Primal 2 in a 9UK and the Chillum in a 9.5UK. I went for the Outlanders in 9UK. I usually have to size up a whole, or even 1.5 sizes in "normal" shoes to accommodate the width of my super-wide (2E+) hobbit feet. The Chillums and Primal 2s fit me just right.
Length-wise the Outlander in a 9UK is about the same as the Chillum in 9.5UK, and a few mm longer than the Primal 2 in a 9UK - perfect for my 276 mondopoint feet.
Width-wise the Outlanders fit a touch narrower than both the Chillum/Primal 2, and have a lower volume in the forefoot (possibly just because there's a more substantial upper with less give in it). That makes the Outlanders a snug fit for my wide feet, but I strongly suspect they'll give a little as they wear in. Removing the insole makes them roomy enough to be comfortable with thick-ish (snowboard) socks.
