Luna Mono 2.0 V Winged Edition 2026 - Black

First pair of Lunas. Shied away from them before because of the cost, going with Xero instead but sandals are something they don't do so well in my opinion, unless you are on soft ground in them most of the time. I needed a sole that was a bit thicker than the Xero 'Trail' line, which are painfully thin. These seem to fit the bill without feeling like a pair of 'flatforms', since they have enough give in them. So I would recommend paying the 50-60% extra for this brand for the footbed and the snug fit alone (mine fit out of the box with no adjustment) and because of that they don't slap when you walk on a hard surface, particularly downhill.
I bought these in the UK in May 2026, so haven't worn them much other than around the house, so the jury is still out on the plastic connector for the strap, which does touch one of my feet when I walk (so, I am wondering what they will be like roaming around a city on a hot day or going for a run in them on the beach on holiday - which are two of the use cases I've bought them for). Something a little more forgiving might (like on a Teva) might be an improvement Luna could introduce in the future.
One downside was the heel strap. It's let down by the Luna branding tag not being cut off properly and protruding into the achilles area, above the strap. It's quite sharp and would have rendered them useless for anything. So I was a bit surprised to feel this right out of the box. However, I used a glass nail file (courtesy of my wife!) to remove each of them, as they were too short for scissors.

Adjusting them would have been fiddly as it's just one strap, but they benefit from the absence of velcro. So some perseverence would pay off, but it would be trial and error.

Vibram tread seems sturdy.

I am a UK 9.5 and I wear Vivobarefoot 10s with socks and 9's without, and I bought the Lunas in a UK 8.5 after printing several templates, which really helped. Now there's not much spare space between my toes and the edge of the sole.

Looking forward to wearing them on holiday soon. The only reason for 4 out of 5 is the fact that I've not fully tested them yet.

Started wearing Luna”s nearly ten years ago, these are my third pair, and I never buy twice unless it’s quality, well made and comfortable, I spend the whole summer in them.

Sturdy sandals, and well made. I think I ordered a half size too big but can't be faffed to send them back for a return. Anyway, good sandals and I highly recommend, easy to adjust and feel on securely and supportive. The Mono is quite thick for an everyday barefoot wearer but I don't mind. 'Footworks running' is great too, item sent very promptly and arrived quickly. Will be buying from again :) thanks team

Couldn’t recommend enough. Ordered the sandals a couple of days before my holiday. Fast response to my questions and fast delivery. I have never taken to between-the-toes sandals and these are my first pair of minimal footwear. I haven’t taken them off in 2 weeks! I wore them a couple of times for an hour or so to try get my feet used to them but not even sure that was necessary, they are sooo comfortable!! I’ve been walking around Crete and Athens, literally all day long and absolutely no bother. Best purchase I’ve ever made!
